Preface
The purpose of this web site is to provide information and materials for students
enrolled in Wayne Smith's Management 360pace course ( Class # 15835 ) for the Spring, 2007 semester.
This course meets in the "1st-half of the semester", Tue 6:00 - 7:45pm and Sat 8:30am - 12:00noon (2/10, 2/24, 3/10, 3/17), Tue room Knoski Aud., Sat (2/10, 3/10) room Johnson Aud., Sat (2/24, 3/17) Oviatt Hall 25.
This course is offered by the Department of Management in the College of Business and Economics at California State University,
Northridge (CSUN). CSU Northridge is one of 23 campuses in the California State University system.
This class section is offered under the umbrella of the PACE program, a program generally oriented
towards mid-career, working professionals. As such, this course is
designed to be taught in an "intensive" format, including a shorter semester and more rapid movement through the course material. While
non-PACE students are welcome to enroll (assuming space availability), non-PACE students will find this class section more difficult
and time-consuming that non-PACE class sections. Or put differently, it is more difficult to obtain a passing grade in this class
section of MGT 360 than in other class sections of MGT 360.
My email address is wayne.smith@csun.edu. For email
sent to me by students, the Subject line should start with "[CSUN Mgt360pace]" (without the quotes) [ example ].
Interested students may learn more about me by reviewing my personal web page. The PDF
materials on this page require the "free" (as in "free beer") Acrobat Reader. Students
desiring to generate PDF files under MS-Windows can use the "free" (as in "free speech") PDFCreator.
Notes
The following notes are updates/changes provided prior to the semester and between class sessions (in descending chronological order).
-
Mon. Feb 5, 2007: The Saturday rooms have been finalized. The two different rooms are listed on the course web page and on the course outline.
-
Fri. Jan 19, 2007: Before the first day of class, please access and review the course web page, including all of the documents linked
in the "Course Materials", "General Materials", and "Assignments and Exercises" sections. Additionally, please bring a printed copy of every document with you to the first day of class.
- Wed. Jan 3, 2007: The add's for this class will be handled on the first day of class. Please bring a current Degree Progress Report (DPR) to the first day of class.
- Tue. Dec 26, 2006: I recommend purchasing a new textbook. The main reason for this is
that I believe students should retain their textbooks from core courses through their academic program. I have made
procuring a new textbook for this course relatively easy by using a textbook that retails for less than $20.
The above notes are also available as a subscription feed [ .atom ]. A subscription feed is a
contemporary approach to automated student notification.
